About Sandglass
Sandglass Leadership Consulting was founded with a mission to offer safe, nonjudgmental support that empowers our clients to step into authentic leadership and achieve success with intentional choices and deep self compassion.
Our Values
Authentic leadership: a leader who feels that they have to reject some part of themselves in order to lead is a leader who is being set up to fail
Compassionate honesty: the truth will set you free – and we can still be kind and considerate in how we deliver that truth, whether to ourselves or to others
Radical acceptance: when we fully acknowledge and allow the reality of a situation to be what it is, without the lens of shame or resistance, we can begin to decide what we want to do about it from a more empowered place
Community orientation: community care is essential to a healthy society and we are committed to making this work accessible to as many people as possible
Conscious choice: the goal is to operate as much as possible from a place of intentionality, alignment, and personal agency
Our Commitments
We are committed to operating an ethical and trauma-informed business model. We strive to provide a safe and empowering experience to all clients, whether or not they have experienced trauma. We believe that trauma-informed care is accessible, transparent, equitable and anti-oppressive.
These are some of the ways we practice our commitment to ethical, trauma-informed business:
Ethical marketing and sales:
we are committed to ethical marketing practices and prioritize fully informed consent when selling our services, so that our clients can choose to work with us in a conscious, intentional way
Transparent and accessible pricing:
we build pricing models on trauma-informed principles of accessibility, equity and transparency
Accessible and inclusive content:
while offerings and programs may not directly speak to all experiences and identities, we do our best to ensure that we are using inclusive language and behavior and accessible delivery formats to support clients with historically marginalized identities and/or disabilities
Opportunities for feedback:
we use feedback models that support safety, honesty and ease for those providing and receiving feedback
Community support and mutual aid:
we allocate a percentage of our profits to community support and mutual aid within local and under-resourced communities
Sustainability:
we prioritize sustainability and stewardship of resources over unlimited growth and careless scalability
Special thanks to Jess Jackson of Soft Path Healing for the trainings in trauma-informed principles which inform the Sandglass approach.
